Red rice is considered the healthiest variety of rice. This means you're not only enjoying a side dish but also a nutritional powerhouse. In this Red Rice Recipe Blog, I'll guide you through the preparation process.
I frequently use red rice because it boasts a rich flavor and is loaded with nutritional benefits, making it considered the healthiest rice option. Whether you're aiming to enhance your health or simply maintain it, red rice can certainly help. It is rich in antioxidants, vitamin B, minerals, and fiber. Additionally, it has anti-inflammatory properties, aids in reducing cholesterol, and may even support weight loss. Quite impressive, isn't it?!
I frequently use this rice as a side dish or as a filling for other vegetables. It enhances every dish!

Ingredients
1 cup of red rice, rinsed
1 tbsp of olive oil
1 tsp of onion powder
Around 1/2 - 1 tsp of salt
water 1 3/4 cup of water
Instructions
Thoroughly rinse the red rice. Bring at least 2 cups of water to a boil. While the water is boiling, heat the olive oil. Add the rice and continue stirring. Once the water has boiled, add approximately 1 and 3/4 cups of water, which is just 1/4 cup less than 2 cups.
Add salt and onion powder. Stir well. Reduce heat to medium low. Cover and cook for 30 minutes.
Incorporate salt and onion powder. Mix thoroughly. Lower the heat to medium-low. Cover the pot and let it cook for 30 minutes.
Taste the dish to see if it's cooked. If it requires more time, insert a utensil to the bottom of the pan to check the water level. If there's no water, add a couple of tablespoons, cover it again, and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes.
Enjoy!
